Processing is a graphics program for people who create digital artwork on their computer rather than the traditional medium of canvas. It is designed to work with images of all sorts and contains many features that are similar to Adobe Photoshop.

The program has a wide selection of special effects, filters, and brushes that you can use to create high quality images and images with more sophisticated abstract features.

In addition to vector work, you can create and edit text, sound, and 3D graphics for use on websites. The program allows for direct output of art to the Web without any conversion or other 3rd party plugins, so you can create and output files in a wide variety of formats.

If you want a tool that has many of the features of a full-featured program but for a cost and with a smaller learning curve, you may want to look at Processing.

July 12, 2017: The U.S. Naval Observatory (USNO) announced this morning that it has been awarded the contract to update their Hour Angle Celestial Reference System to the 2018 edition. This system will be used to determine precise positions of the stars and improve ephemerides used by the U.S. Naval Observatory Time Service

The system will provide new algorithms, including the following: more accurate trigonometric functions, improved estimates of time due to supernova, Moon, and other effects, an improvement to the Copernicus model of the Solar System, and two new objects in the Solar System – minor planet 2015 UA93 and Centaur (1994 QB1).

This system is used to produce data which provides accurate time and position information for all objects in the Solar System. Together with the JPL Horizons ephemeris data, it provides basic information on the motion of the Earth, Sun, Moon, Earth’s Moon, Mars, Jupiter, Venus, and Mercury. Information from the lunar ephemeris is processed by the USNO, Department of Defense, National Imagery and Mapping Agency (NIMA), and National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) to provide better estimates of the position, velocity, and orbit of the Earth’s Moon, updated a few times each day.

The USNO operates a number of time and position systems throughout the country. These include:

The U.S. Naval Observatory time service at the Joint Research Center in Yokosuka, Japan, in conjunction with other institutions in Japan and with European partners

The U.S. Naval Observatory Time Service at the National Institute of Standards and Technology in Boulder, Colorado

The U.S. Naval Observatory time service at the American Institute of Physics in College Park, Maryland

The U.S. Naval Observatory time service at the Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland, which serves approximately 600 scientists at Goddard, NASA, Goddard Space Flight Center, and various universities and other research institutions

Android – Checking between 2 fields/variables in ListView

I have a listview with a custom layout that contains an EditText and a Button. The list is being populated with 2 different lists.
What I want to do is when the ListView is being loaded, check to see if what’s in the EditText is equal to what’s in the other list item, and if so, then just fire the Button’s OnClickListener.
I have the code to populate the list, but I’m not sure how to check the EditText and the ListItem.
Here’s the code for populating the list.
ArrayAdapter listItems = new ArrayAdapter(Settings.this, android.R.layout.simple_list_item_1, listItems);

listItems is my String array that has the texts in ListItems, and listItems[i] are the texts in ListItems[i].
Any ideas? Thanks!
Edit: My question actually is a 2 part question.

How to check the two listItems: listItems[i]
How to check the EditText’s text: edittext.getText().equals(listItems[i])

Do something like this:
In your adapter, create a method that will return true if the number on the list items is equal to what is in the edit text.
int number = 23;

public boolean hasSameNumber(String[] listItems, int position) {
return listItems[position] == number;

Then in the activity where you are setting up your listview, do something like this
ArrayAdapter listItems = new ArrayAdapter(Settings.this, android.R.layout.simple_list_item_1, listItems);

int position = 0; // We are going to set this to be the list position
String number = 1; // This is the number we are matching against
